Thursday night, Brian Leetch’s “Team Leech” beat Chris Chelios’ “Team Chelios” 6-5 in the 2017 All-American Prospects Game in Buffalo. The game – a sixth annual showcase event for the top NHL Draft-eligible U.S.-born players – featured eight Michigan natives, one University of Michigan defenseman in Quinn Hughes, three UM commits and 17 NTDP current players or alums (for a full list, click here).

The 2017 edition of the AAPG featured the most goals scored in the event’s history. Notable goal-scorers included Canton native Paul Cotter, Honeybaked alum Ryan Savage, Michigan commit Jack Randl and NTDP standouts Jake Pivonka, Oliver Wahlstrom and Brady Tkachuk (who had the game-winner in the third period).
