Red Wings announce 2017-18 preseason schedule

September 23 vs. Boston.

That’s the first time a hockey game will be played at Little Caesars Arena.

The Red Wings announced their preseason schedule today. Detroit starts with three games on the road in as many days – Sept. 19, 20 and 21 at Boston, Pittsburgh and Chicago, respectively.

Then, the Bruins come to the new building on Sept. 23, followed by three straight home games. On Sept. 25, Pittsburgh arrives. On Sept. 28, it’s Chicago checking out LCA. Then, on Sept. 29, it’s the Maple Leafs taking a visit.

The Wings will close out the preseason with a game in Toronto on Sept. 30, as well.
