Lumberjacks’ Pitlick named USA Hockey’s junior player of the year

Last year, Michigan native Kyle Connor was named USA Hockey’s junior player of the year.

This year, it’s a Michigan resident claiming the prestigious award.

Muskegon Lumberjacks forward Rem Pitlick earned the top junior player honor from USA Hockey this year, it was announced today.

Pitlick, a native of Plymouth, Minn., was named the ‘Dave Taylor Junior Player of the Year’ after posting a USHL-best 46 goals and 43 assists for 89 points in 56 games with the Lumberjacks this season.

Pitlick was named 2016 USHL Player of the Year and Forward of the Year by the league’s general managers, as well.
