The Muskegon Lumberjacks announced today that one of their affiliate forwards has committed to a major university.

Collin Adams, a Brighton native and Muskegon draftee, has committed to North Dakota of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference, following his junior career.

“For me, choosing North Dakota is a dream come true,” Adams said in a release. “It’s one of those dream schools that you want to play for growing up as a kid and watching their games on television. When I took my official visit (to North Dakota), it ended up being a perfect fit for me.  The coaching staff is one of the best in the country, and they can help me get to the next level.”

Adams was a fourth-round pick in the 2014 USHL Phase I Draft and is currently playing for the Honeybaked midget minor squad. He leads his HB team in both goals (25) and points (34).

The new North Dakota commit has appeared in four USHL games this season – three with the Lumberjacks, and one with the U.S. NTDP Under-17 Team.
