Red Wings win third straight game with comeback in Anaheim

The Detroit Red Wings are officially on a winning streak.

Last night out in Anaheim, the Wings rallied to record a 4-3 win over the Ducks, giving the team their third straight victory.

Dylan Larkin scored at the 19:23 mark of the third period to force overtime, and Dennis Cholowski finished things off in the extra frame. Robby Fabbri picked up a point in his third straight game with Detroit, as he assisted on the game-winning goal in overtime.

Here are the highlights:

“It all happened pretty fast,” Cholowski said via NHL.com. “I hopped on the ice, saw a gap in the middle and [Fabbri] gave me a really good pass. Their D-man was kind of back in their zone a little bit, so I figured why not go in and shoot it, and it went in.”

Filip Hronek and Andreas Athanasiou also scored for Detroit, while Jonathan Bernier made 24 saves. Bernier has been in net for all three of the Wings’ recent wins.

“Winning breeds confidence,” Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill said. “We’ve got to continue to make sure we play good hockey for 60 minutes.”

The Wings continue their west coast road trip with a game against the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday.
