NMU’s de Mey named WCHA forward of the month

By @MichaelCaples –

Northern Michigan has been off to an impressive start to the 2019-2020 season, and Vincent de Mey has played a substantial role in their success.

The Los Angeles native and NMU sophomore forward racked up eight points in the Wildcats’ six games over the course of October with six goals and two assists. In doing so, he has been named the WCHA’s forward of the month.

de Mey ranks second nationally in power-play goals and he ranks No. 3 in the NCAA with a 1.00 goals-per-game average.

He was twice named forward of the week by the WCHA, as well, on Oct. 14 and Oct. 21.
