Red Wings assign Svechnikov to Grand Rapids, remove two from injured reserve

The Detroit Red Wings announced a few roster moves today as they prepare for a road game with the Vancouver Canucks.

Evgeny Svechnikov has been assigned to Grand Rapids, while Frans Nielsen and Trevor Daley have been removed from injured reserve.

Svechnikov did not make any appearances in his call-up to Detroit. In 16 career games with the Wings over the last two seasons, the former first-round pick has four points.

Nielsen has not played since the Wings’ home opener on Oct. 6; the same holds true for Daley.
