PHOTOS: NTDP Under-18 Team hosts Northern Michigan in home opener

In the 2019-2020 home opener for the USA Hockey National Team Development Program, Northern Michigan made the trip down from Marquette for a battle with the NTDP Under-18 Team. A late rally from Team USA made things close, but the Wildcats ended up prevailing 4-3 in the exhibition opener to NMU’s season. André Ghantous scored twice for NMU, while Ty Readman and Grant Loven also found the back of the net. Nolan Kent and John Hawthorne split time between the pipes for Northern as they look to fill the hole left by Atte Tolvanen’s graduation. For the NTDP, Brett Berard, Hunter McKown and Michigan commit Thomas Bordeleau scored in the contest; Noah Grannan stopped 27 shots. (Photos by Stefan Kubus/MiHockey)
