The Chicago Blackhawks have locked up their talented young winner from Metro Detroit.

Alex DeBrincat has signed a three-year extension with the Original Six franchise worth an average of $6.4 million per season through 2022-23.

The Farmington Hills native registered career-high marks of 41 goals and 76 points in 82 games last season, becoming the second youngest player in Chicago history to reach 40 goals.

DeBrincat, 21, is only 5-foot-7, which led to NHL teams passing on him in the first round of the 2016 NHL Draft despite remarkable numbers in the OHL; he was the league’s MVP after 65 goals and 62 assists in 63 games in his final year with the Erie Otters.

In his on-ice response to the doubters, he has registered 69 goals and 59 assists in 164 games with the Blackhawks.
