Red Wings to hold first Girls Hockey Jamboree for IIHF Girls’ Hockey Weekend

On Oct. 4, the Detroit Red Wings will host the team’s first-ever Girls Hockey Jamboree to kick off the IIHF World Girls’ Hockey Weekend with a bang in Hockeytown.

For girls 10 and under, a $15 registration fee includes one hour of cross-ice games at the Belfor Training Center inside Little Caesars Arena from 5 to 6 p.m., as well as a Red Wings-themed jersey and giveaways.

The IIHF World Girls’ Hockey Weekend officially takes place Oct. 5-6, as the governing body for hockey across the globe celebrates women’s hockey and encourages promotion and exposure of the sport to new players.
