While the 15-Only squad was taking care of business in Plymouth, the Little Caesars 14U team did the same in Pittsburgh.

Little Caesars posted a 4-0 shutout over the Florida Alliance in Monday morning’s championship game at the 2019 USA Hockey 14U Tier 1 National Championships.

Thanks to three second-period goals, the LC boys took control of the final game of the season, and Trent Boryszcuk capped off a 24-save shutout to secure the 14U Tier 1 national title.

Michael Mesic scored the game’s first two goals, before Justin Varner found the back of the net for LC, and Frank Nazar sealed up the victory with an empty-netter.

Little Caesars was the last of the Michigan teams left standing, after LC, Compuware and Honeybaked all posted perfect records in preliminary play. The Michigan ’04 teams shined in the national tournament, with Little Caesars adding a national title to their MAHA state title-winning season.
