Red Wings honor Ted Lindsay in first game back home

The Detroit Red Wings were on the road when Ted Lindsay passed away, so Thursday’s game against the New York Rangers marked the first opportunity for the Original Six franchise to remember the iconic “Terrible Ted” the hockey world lost this week.

The Red Wings picked up a 3-2 shootout win over the visiting Blueshirts. Andreas Athanasiou recorded a goal and an assist, and also potted the shootout winner. Jimmy Howard made 29 saves in the win.
