Recruiting: Camron VanSickle commits to Denver

The end of Camron VanSickle’s first year in Michigan couldn’t go much better, really.

Fresh off a 14U Tier 1 state championship with his Little Caesars squad this past Sunday, the North Pole, Alaska native has committed to the University of Denver.

“I have been to Colorado and I love the city of Denver,” VanSickle, a top 2004 birth-year player, told MiHockey. “The hockey program is strong and from what I have heard about the academic opportunities you can’t go wrong.”

The talented forward, who is getting ready to travel with his LC team to Pittsburgh for the upcoming 2019 USA Hockey 14U National Championships, said the geography didn’t hurt in his decision, either.

“Being centrally located in the States, it will allow my family to visit often,” he said. “It’s a win-win situation.

“I can’t wait to be a Pioneer.”
