Jenuwine named NAHL’s top forward for second straight month

By @StefanKubus –

Since the turn of the new year, no NAHL forward has produced quite like Romeo native Logan Jenuwine.

The former Romeo High School standout and Mr. Hockey winner first posted 20 points in 10 January games en rout to the NAHL forward of the month award and finished the month pacing the league with 68 points.

In February, it was more of the same for Jenuwine, as he again led all NAHL players in scoring in February, having recorded nine goals and nine assists for 18 points in eight games with his Amarillo Bulls. That earned him a second straight NAHL forward of the month award.

Jenuwine also had five multi-point games during the month, which included a five-goal game on Feb. 1, and he now has 47 goals and 85 points – both marks lead the league – in 48 games this season,

“February was pretty memorable,” Jenuwine said. “Top Prospects was just an awesome experience and I had a great time. It was a cool experience to play with guys that you battle against all season long and for our division to go 2-0 at the event is something we will remember for a long time. As for the Bulls, we still are focused on trying to win as many games as we can and go into the playoffs playing our best hockey. I think committing to Arizona State was a dream come true and I think it’s a perfect fit for me. I had a great visit there, they have a beautiful campus, and they are a team that is already an NCAA title contender just a couple years after establishing an NCAA program, so all that made for an easy decision for me.”
