Red Wings assign Cholowski, Frk to Grand Rapids

Following their victory over Ottawa Thursday night, the Red Wings announced that they have assigned Martin Frk and Dennis Cholowski to the Grand Rapids Griffins.

Frk was placed on waivers to make the move; he went unclaimed.

The second-round pick from 2012 has recorded five points in 25 games this season. Last year – his first full campaign with the Wings – Frk recorded 25 points in 68 games.

Cholowski, meanwhile, has appeared in 52 games this season as a rookie defenseman. The first-round pick from 2016 has 16 points on the year.
