Recruiting: Jaden Grant commits to Bowling Green

Oakland Jr. Grizzlies 16U head coach Dan Riedel insisted that this article state that Jaden Grant is the best teammate he’s ever coached.

Sounds like the Bowling Green Falcons are getting a good one.

Grant announced his commitment to BGSU on Monday, locking in a spot with one of the WCHA’s top programs.

“I picked BG because of all the advantages that this top program has,” Grant told MiHockey. “BG has been an up and rising program, and its only getting better. The atmosphere of the games and campus are like no other, but the biggest part of my decision is the tremendous coaching staff at BG. Their biggest goal is to develop players to move on to the next level as a player and as a person.”

Grant, an ’02 birth-year forward, has spent all of bantams and midgets with the OJG hockey program. This season, while wearing an ‘A’ for the Grizzlies, he has recorded 42 points in 40 games (per the team’s official website).

The White Lake native said he can’t wait to get to Ohio and start skating at the Slater Family Ice Arena for the Falcons.

“The foundation that has been created at BG is incredible,” Grant said. “BG’s style of play fits my game perfectly and that’s why I see myself playing at BG in the near future. I think that the steps the coaches are taking to make BG feel like the pros is really important for my development, and for what the next level looks like.”
