Only Terry Sawchuk and Chris Osgood have played more games in a Red Wings jersey than Jimmy Howard.

Howard, a second-round pick of Detroit in 2003, made 40 saves to keep the Sens at bay while the team in front of him was outshot 42-29. The 34-year-old Syracuse, N.Y. native improved to 17-5-5 on the season, with a 2.74 goals-against average and .915 save percentage.

For his career, Howard carries a 238-166-68 record, a .915 save percentage, 2.51 goals-against average and 24 shutouts.
