PHOTOS: Spartans, Wolverines renew rivalry during GLI 54

The Michigan State Spartans and the Michigan Wolverines met in Day 2 of the 54th Great Lakes Invitational on New Year’s Eve, and despite a rare 11:30 a.m. start time, the storied programs wasted no time reigniting their rivalry. Neither claimed the latest round of bragging rights, however, as the game was called a tie after Michigan and Michigan State failed to break a 2-2 tie during the 60 minutes of regulation and a five-minute overtime period.
