Round 1 goes to the Spartans. On Friday night at Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing, Michigan State recorded a 4-3 victory over rival Michigan. Mitch Lewandowski scored the game-winning goal at the 9:44 mark of the third period, while freshman goaltender Drew DeRidder made 43 saves to lead MSU to a victory in the front-end of a home-and-home series.
