PHOTOS: Brother Rice vs. Detroit Catholic Central on Thanksgiving Eve

It’s becoming tradition that both rinks at USA Hockey Arena feature big games on Thanksgiving Eve. While Team USA was battling Bowling Green on one side Wednesday night, Brother Rice and Detroit Catholic Central were playing their own traditional Thanksgiving Eve contest – an annual battle between the two storied high school hockey rivals. This year’s edition went to the host team, as the Shamrocks recorded a 5-4 victory over the Warriors in front of a standing-room only crowd at the Mitchel Kiefer Memorial Rink inside USAH Arena.
