Eight Michigan Names On Team USA’s World Junior A Challenge roster

USA Hockey has announced its roster for the upcoming World Junior A Challenge in Bonnyville, Alberta.

Eight Michigan names have made the 2018 U.S. Junior Select Team, which is made up of top players from the USHL.

The U.S. will play an exhibition contest against Canada East on Friday, Dec. 7 before starting official tournament play two days later.

Cal Kiefiuk – Central Illinois Flying Aces – Macomb native, Michigan commit

Josh Nodler – Fargo Force – Oak Park native, Michigan State commit

Ryan O’Reilly – Fargo Force – Detroit Red Wings draftee

Trevor Janicke – Central Illinois Flying Aces – NTDP alum

Defensemen

Ronnie Attard – Tri-City Storm – White Lake native, Western Michigan commit

Travis Mitchell – Omaha Lancers – South Lyon native, Cornell commit

Mitchell Miller – Cedar Rapids RoughRiders – Compuware and Honeybaked alum
