PHOTOS: Team USA (NTDP Under-17 Team) wins 2018-19 home opener in Plymouth

On Friday night, the National Team Development Program’s Under-17 Team played its first home game at USA Hockey Arena for Team USA’s home opener of the 2018-19 season. In a USHL battle, the new U17 Team USA prevailed over the Madison Capitols 4-2, with Tanner Latsch (Twin Lake native), Eamon Powell (Marcellus, N.Y.), Landon Slaggert (South Bend, Ind.) and Ty Smilanic (Elizabeth, Colo.) all scoring their first goals. Noah Grannan (Germantown, Wis.) stopped 26 of the 28 shots sent his way to record the win for Team USA; one of the shots that got by him came off the stick of former Belle Tire and Honeybaked forward and Michigan State commit Kristof Papp for his his first USHL goal, as well.
