NTDP announces full 2018-19 schedule

A few days after announcing the college hockey programs that will be coming through Plymouth this upcoming season, USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program has revealed its full 2018-19 season.

Key dates:

The new Under-17 Team (featuring Michigan natives Tanner Latsch and Jacob Truscott) begins play with USHL games against the Madison Capitols on Oct. 5-6 at USA Hockey Arena.

The NTDP will host the Under-17 Four Nations Tournament on Dec. 9-15.

The in-state rivalry between the Muskegon Lumberjacks and the NTDP renews first on Oct. 26 in Plymouth.

The Under-18 Team will play against three of the four 2018 Frozen Four teams at their respective homes; Notre Dame on Oct. 7, Michigan on Oct. 12 and Minnesota Duluth on Jan. 5.

Other notable road trips for the U18s include Michigan-based programs Ferris State (Oct. 6), Adrian College (Oct. 30) and Michigan State (Dec. 15), as well as Boston University, Harvard, Dartmouth, St. Cloud State, North Dakota and Wisconsin.

The NTDP hosts the Chicago Steel on Martin Luther King Day (Jan. 21) in an afternoon contest.

Muskegon will help the NTDP celebrate Hockey Week Across America with a game against the U17s on Friday, Feb. 22 in Plymouth.
