Tyler Bertuzzi and Martin Frk will be staying in Detroit for the foreseeable future.

The Detroit Red Wings announced they’ve re-signed the pair of forwards, Bertuzzi to a two-year deal and Frk a one-year contract.

Bertuzzi, 23, spent parts of the 2017-18 season with the Red Wings and the Grand Rapids Griffins. He posted 14 points in 16 games with GR before being recalled to Detroit in December, where he stayed for the rest of the season. In 48 NHL games, the Wings’ 2013 second-round pick posted 24 points and 39 penalty minutes.

Frk, 24, played in his first full season with the Wings in 2017-18, racking up 11 goals and 14 assists for 25 points in 68 games. He too was a Detroit second-round pick, being claimed by the Wings at No. 49 overall in 2012.

Both players played substantial roles in the Griffins’ Calder Cup championship in 2017.
