2018 Draft: Blade Jenkins selected by the New York Islanders

DALLAS – When Blade Jenkins is done in Saginaw, he will be on his way to New York.

With in the fifth round of the 2018 NHL Draft, the New York Islanders selected Jenkins, a Jackson native and standout forward for the Saginaw Spirit.

The longtime Compuware standout and former USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program forward was ranked No. 26 among North American skaters in NHL Central Scouting’s final rankings.

Listed at 6-foot-1 and 201 pounds, Jenkins was named an OHL All-Rookie First Team forward after registering 44 points in 68 games.
