2018-19 Big Ten schedule announced

Wolverines and Spartans fans can start planning out next year’s hockey schedule.

The Big Ten has announced its conference schedule for the 2018-19 college hockey season.

Michigan begins the conference schedule on Nov. 9 when they host the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The two teams will play at Yost Ice Arena the following night, as well.

Michigan State starts the next weekend against those very same Irish – the Spartans will welcome Notre Dame for two games at Munn Ice Arena on Nov. 16-17.

Michigan and Michigan State will meet on Nov. 30 in East Lansing, and then on Dec. 1 in Ann Arbor.

The second home-and-home will be Feb. 8-9; Michigan is listed as the home team for the first game and Michigan State the home team for the second, but one of those will likely be played at Little Caesars Arena for the annual ‘Duel in the D’ game.

Michigan highlights:

The Wolverines’ first road trip will be to Penn State on Nov. 16-17.

Michigan will host Minnesota Dec. 8-9.

The first meetings between the Buckeyes and Wolverines will be on Jan. 11-12 in Columbus.

The Wolverines will play Penn State at Madison Square Garden on Jan. 26.

Michigan concludes its regular season on the road against the Badgers on Mar. 1-2.

 

Michigan State highlights:

The Spartans’ first road trip is to Minnesota on Nov. 23-24.

Michigan State welcomes Ohio State on Jan. 4-5.

The Spartans’ last home games will be on Feb. 15-16 against Penn State.

MSU concludes its regular season on the road at Ohio State on Mar. 1-2.
