Megan Keller to be honored during NTDP game Friday at USA Hockey Arena

By @MichaelCaples –

The NTDP will have a gold medalist at their game on Friday.

Farmington native and Olympic champion Megan Keller will be at the Team USA game vs. the Youngstown Phantoms at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth.

She will be honored via ceremonial puck drop and take place in an autograph session for the fans in attendance.

“I am really excited to come out to USA Hockey Arena this weekend,” Keller said via release. “It’s great to share this exciting time with everyone where I grew up and I look forward to doing that at the home of the USA Hockey.”

The Honeybaked alum and Boston College defenseman is certainly familiar with USA Hockey Arena; after skating there growing up and watching her brother, Ryan, play for Detroit Catholic Central, Keller won last spring’s World Championship with Team USA inside the building.

“We are thrilled to celebrate Megan’s success so close to her hometown and at the home rink of USA Hockey,” said Scott Monaghan, NTDP senior director of operations. “She is a great role model to so many young players in the area and it will be truly special to welcome her for our NTDP game on Friday.”
