Jared Coreau named AHL goaltender of the month

By @MichaelCaples –

Well he certainly made the most of his last stretch of time with the Griffins this season.

Jared Coreau, fresh off being called up to the Red Wings in the wake of the Petr Mrazek trade, has been named the CCM/AHL goaltender of the month for February.

He allowed just nine goals in the month in a February in which he was unbeaten in six appearances.

Coreau, a Northern Michigan product, posted a 4-0-2 record, a 1.46 goals-against average, a .951 save percentage and two shutouts in the 28-day month.
