2018 boys’ high school hockey Dream Team announced

The Michigan High School Hockey Coaches’ Association has announced the ‘Dream Team’ for the 2017-18 boys’ hockey season.

Congrats to the following players who have received the prestigious high school hockey honor for outstanding seasons:

 

Forwards

Jake Behnke – Hartland

Behnke, a Hartland senior, recorded 32 goals and 21 assists for 53 points with the Eagles this season.

Adam Conquest – Brighton

Conquest, a Bowling Green verbal commit and Brighton senior, posted 25 goals and 21 helpers for 46 total points.

Brendan West – Detroit Catholic Central

West, a Detroit Catholic Central senior, led the Shamrocks with 21 goals and an impressive 39 assists for 60 total points.

 

Defensemen

Jake Beaune – Livonia Stevenson

Beaune, a Livonia Stevenson senior, led his Spartans in scoring from the blue line, registering 46 points (22 goals and 24 assists) on the season.

Tim Erkkila – Brighton

Erkkila, a Brighton junior, recorded a dominant 42 points from the blue line – seven goals and 35 assists.

 

Goaltender

Sam Evola – Detroit Country Day

Evola, a Country Day junior, recorded seven shutouts on the season, which allowed him to post a 0.97 goals-against average on the season. He finished with a 21-2-0 record and a .954 save percentage in 2017-18.
