Red Wings post season-high 44 shots in shootout win over San Jose

Fresh off the NHL All-Star break, the Red Wings posted a 2-1 shootout victory over the San Jose Sharks at Little Caesars Arena.

Trevor Daley scored his fourth of the season in regulation, while Petr Mrazek turned away 30 of 31 shots he faced to pick up the win in net. Tomas Tatar, Justin Abdelkader and Andreas Athanasiou all converted in the shootout with highlight-reel moves.

The Wings improve to 20-21-8 on the season with 48 points, eight back of a wild card spot in the Eastern Conference.
