It was his lone visit to his hometown during the regular season of his rookie year, and Alex DeBrincat made sure to make it count. The Farmington Hills native recorded a hat trick in a 5-1 Blackhawks victory over the Red Wings Thursday night at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
“It feels really good, DeBrincat told the media after the game. “Puck was bouncing my way today, so, it feels good to get that done in front of my family and friends.”
“I never played in The Joe, that would have been cool, but this is a great rink. It’s always fun to come home.”
