The Michigan State Spartans played their first game under the direction of new coach Danton Cole Saturday afternoon in East Lansing, and things went well for the home team. On goals from Patrick Khodorenko, Cody Milan and Taro Hirose, the Spartans posted a 3-0 shutout over the University of Toronto in MSU’s exhibition opener to the 2017-18 season.
