The Motor City Cup serves as an annual ‘welcome back to hockey’ tournament for Midget-aged teams in Michigan and beyond. From Sept. 8-10, 18U, 16U and 15U teams competed at the Taylor Sportsplex, the Kennedy Ice Arena and the Dearborn Ice Skating Center; MiHockey stopped by Friday morning to capture a series of games.

Congrats to the three Michigan teams that prevailed in their divisional title games on Sunday:

U18 – Belle Tire 3, Little Caesars 1

U16 – Oakland Jr. Grizzlies 3, CYA 2

U15 – Honeybaked 3, New Generation 2
