The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced a signing of another Michigan native.

Bloomfield native Sam Miletic has signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the team.

A Cranbrook alum, Miletic led the London Knights with 37 goals in 65 games, good for 12th among all OHL skaters.

He’s spent the last two seasons with the storied OHL franchise.

The 20-year-old forward was a free-agent invite to the Penguins’ development camp; clearly he impressed, as he was invited back for the team’s participation in the Prospects Challenge and Pittsburgh’s official training camp.

He scored the Penguins’ opening goal in a preseason contest against Columbus on Sept. 22.
