Drew Miller’s heading into an enemy territory in the hopes of continuing his NHL career.
The Lansing native will be at the Chicago Blackhawks’ training camp, thanks to a professional tryout offer from the Original Six franchise.
Miller, 33, spent the last eight seasons with his hometown Detroit Red Wings; last season, he was assigned to Grand Rapids and played in seven games with the Griffins.
A Michigan State alum, Miller has 62 goals and 60 assists in 571 NHL games with the Anaheim Ducks, Tampa Bay Lightning and Detroit.
