USA Hockey’s NTDP announces full 2017-18 schedule

With the World Junior Summer Showcase in full swing in Plymouth, USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program has announced the rest of the games fans can expect to see at USA Hockey Arena in the coming months.

The NTDP has released its full 2017-18 season schedule, and there are plenty of highlights – most notably Plymouth visits by NCAA foes Michigan State, Ferris State and Miami and a Under-18 Five Nations Tournament in the middle of February.

The Under-17 Team and the Under-18 Team will both begin their seasons with NAHL preseason games against the Aston Rebels on Friday, Sept. 15 (U17s) and Saturday, Sept. 16 (U18s).

The U18s will host the Muskegon Lumberjacks for a USHL preseason contest on Sept. 23 before heading to the USHL Fall Classic in Pittsburgh.

Miami comes to Plymouth on Oct. 13 for the first NCAA home game of the season for the U18s.

On Nov. 22, Adrian College comes through USA Hockey Arena for a game against the U18s.

Then, on Dec. 16, Michigan State travels in from East Lansing for the Spartans to play their first-ever game in Plymouth.

Ferris State shows up on Jan. 2 for the Bulldogs’ first visit to USA Hockey Arena.

As previously posted, here are all the NTDP vs. Muskegon showdowns for the upcoming season. The Dec. 19 game has been changed to a 10:30 a.m. puck drop.

  • Oct. 14 – NTDP at Muskegon – 7:15 p.m.
  • Dec. 19 – Muskegon at NTDP – 10:30 a.m.
  • Dec. 29 – NTDP at Muskegon – 7:15 p.m.
  • Jan. 15 – Muskegon at NTDP – 2:05 p.m.
  • Jan. 27 – NTDP at Muskegon – 7:15 p.m.
  • Mar. 4 – Muskegon at NTDP – 2:05 p.m.
  • Apr. 13 – Muskegon at NTDP – 7:05 p.m. (last game of the USHL regular-season for both programs)
