Colin Campbell is staying in Michigan for the foreseeable future.

The Grand Rapids Griffins announced Thursday that they’ve re-signed Campbell to a two-year deal.

The 26-year-old Ontario native posted career highs in assists (11) and points (20) in 57 games last season for the Griffins. He also added four helpers in 17 postseason games en route to the Griffins’ Calder Cup title.

Campbell was originally signed by the Red Wings organization in 2014 as a free agent after spending four seasons at Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie. There, Campbell accumulated 64 points in 119 games, including a senior season that saw him post a 14-15–29 line in 36 games.
