Well, that one’s finally over.

Tomas Tatar will be back in a Red Wings uniform for the 2017-18 season and for the foreseeable future.

The Wings’ No. 21 will be under contract with Detroit for the next four seasons after the restricted free agent’s payment amount for next season was originally going to be determined by arbitration.

Per Friedman, the deal is worth $5.3 million per season.

Tatar, 26, recorded 46 points in 82 games for the Wings last season.

He has played in four full seasons with the team that drafted him in the second round of the 2009 NHL Draft. Over the course of that time, he has logged a total of 194 points in 345 career games.

Tatar posted a career-best 56 points in 2014-15 after he appeared in all 82 games.
