Griffins’ 2017-18 schedule announced

Fans can now start planning out their trips to see the defending Calder Cup champions.

The Grand Rapids Griffins’ 2017-18 season schedule was announced today.

You can see the full slate of games here; check out some of the highlights below.

  • The Griffins raise a banner to the rafters of Van Andel Arena on Oct. 6 against Manitoba.
  • Twenty-five games are ‘prime home dates’ out of the Griffins’ 38 home games; 14 on Fridays and 11 on Saturdays.
  • The Hershey Bears will visit for the first time in almost 12 years on Oct. 21, while the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will visit for the first time since 2008 on March 2.
  • The Tucson Roadrunners will make their first-ever appearance at Van Andel Arena on Oct. 25 and Feb. 28.
  • The Griffins have home games on New Year’s Eve, Black Friday and St. Patrick’s Day.
  • Grand Rapids’ 17th annual Matinee Game will be against the San Antonio Rampage on Nov. 8 at 11 a.m.
