They took Josh Norris on Friday, and now, they’ve taken another Michigan boy on Saturday.

The Sharks selected Sasha Chmelevski in the sixth round of the 2017 NHL Draft.

Chmelevski, a forward with the Ottawa 67s of the OHL, recorded 43 points in 58 games.

He played for Team USA at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament in 2016, recording 10 points in five games.

Chmelevski, originally from California, played for Belle Tire and Honeybaked before making the jump to the OHL.

He was the 2016-7 recipient of the OHL’s Bobby Smith Trophy, given to the scholastic player of the year.
