2017-18 Try Hockey For Free dates announced

USA Hockey has announced the dates for the upcoming season’s Try Hockey For Free dates, so the hockey community can prepare accordingly.

The first national Try Hockey For Free Day of the 2017-18 season will take place on Saturday, Nov. 4, as part of Come Play Hockey Month.

The second ‘Try Hockey Day’ will be on Saturday, March 3 – the weekend following the conclusion of the XXIII Olympic Winter Games.

Local youth hockey associations and rinks can register to host on either of those dates; USA Hockey provides host sites with on and off-ice training, jerseys and promotional resources.

Try Hockey For Free Days are designed to provide youth hockey associations a platform to introduce new players to the sport. Since the program’s inception in February of 2010, more than 143,000 children have participated.
