U.S. Women’s National Team to hold pre-tournament camp in Traverse City before Women’s Worlds

The Centre Ice Arena staff is used to having some of the best men’s hockey players in the world come through their two-sheet facility.

Now, they will host some of the best women.

The U.S. Women’s National Team will take part in a pre-tournament camp in Traverse City from March 22-28 – their final stretch of preparation before they host the 2017 International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championship in Plymouth.

The U.S. women will also play an exhibition game against Finland at Centre Ice on March 25 at 3 p.m.

Centre Ice Arena and Traverse City are “Hockeytown West” as the Red Wings hold training camp there each season, as well as the team’s prospect camp and the NHL Prospect Tournament each September.
