Red Wings recall Brian Lashoff from Grand Rapids

The Detroit Red Wings announced Thursday that they’ve recalled defenseman Brian Lashoff from Grand Rapids.

Lashoff, 26, has skated in five games this season for Detroit, collecting no points and a minus-3 rating. In 47 games with the Griffins, the New York native has totaled ten points and 26 penalty minutes.

Lashoff was originally signed by the Red Wings as a free agent in 2008 following a four-year stint with the Barrie Colts and Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League.
