PHOTOS: Lansing hockey community rallies around local family for Adam’s Army game

On Feb. 3, the Lansing area hockey community showed up at Suburban Ice East Lansing to support Adam Dec, a Lansing Capitals 16U player battling Leukemia, and his family. For the “Adam’s Army” game, Dec’s team – sporting special orange jerseys instead of their typical green and white – played the Houston Wild, a team coached by former Michigan State All-American Bobby Reynolds. An estimated 1,000 people were in attendance, and the money received through donations went to Brandon’s Defense, a local charity supporting families battling cancer.
