Spartans releases full 2015-16 Michigan State hockey schedule

The Big Ten announced their full conference schedule today, and Michigan State has followed that up with their complete 2015-16 schedule.

Highlights of the Spartans’ 2015-16 schedule include home dates with Lake Superior State, New Hampshire, Michigan Tech and North Dakota, along with trips to Denver, Boston College and Northeastern.

The Spartans and the Wolverines will meet at Joe Louis Arena on Friday, Feb. 5. The in-state rivals play a home-and-home match-up on Jan. 8-9 and then once more in East Lansing the day after the Joe Louis Arena game.

Michigan State will officially begin their season on Sunday, Oct. 4 with an exhibition contest against the University of Western Ontario at Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing.

The next week, the Spartans join Lake Superior State at the Ice Breaker Invitational in Portland, Maine; MSU plays Maine on Friday, Oct. 9, then LSSU the next day.

From there, the Spartans travel to Denver, for a pair of non-conference games with DU.

Michigan State will also play the U.S. NTDP on Jan. 23 in East Lansing.
