Macomb native Ryan Bednard is now a member of the Florida Panthers.

The 2015 NHL Draft host team picked Bednard with their seventh-round pick (206 overall) in the league’s annual selection process.

Bednard, a Belle Tire, Little Caesars and Victory Honda alum, was named to the 2014-15 NAHL All-Rookie Team list after an impressive season with the Johnstown Tomahawks.

A Bowling Green commit, Bednard posted a .913 save percentage and a 2.66 goals-against average.
