According to reports from multiple media outlets, Red Wings legend Gordie Howe suffered another stroke Monday night. But now (at roughly 10 p.m. Tuesday evening), his family has told CBC.ca that further testing revealed that Mr. Hockey did not have a stroke, after all.

According to the most recent report, Murray Howe said his father is dealing with dehydration and exhaustion, and he will be heading home soon.

The 86-year-old hockey icon suffered a severe stroke on Oct. 25, and while one family announcement said he was doing much better a few weeks later, he has been enduring mini strokes ever since. USA Today previously reported that he was in the ICU:

Howe is currently in Lubbock, Texas, where his daughter Cathy lives.
