Baltimore-based STX, a sporting goods manufacturer about to make the jump into the hockey industry, announced a new partnership with USA Hockey today that will certainly garner some quick exposure.

The four-year partnership with USA Hockey makes STX an official sponsor and equipment supplier of USA Hockey. STX will be an official sponsor of the Toyota-USA Hockey youth, girls and high school national championships, and they will outfit members of the national teams with STX products, including the Ann Arbor-based National Team Development Program, and the U.S. Olympic teams.

“We’re excited to welcome STX to the USA Hockey family,” said Dave Ogrean, executive director of USA Hockey, in a release. “We very much look forward to the relationship and working together to further the sport.”

“A partnership with USA Hockey was an immediate goal of ours once we made the decision to enter the hockey category” said Jason Goger, president of STX. “They are the preeminent amateur hockey organization in the United States and we look forward supporting their goal of growing the game.”

STX will begin sales of ice hockey equipment this spring.
