Capgeek.com – the top website for charting NHL player salaries – announced a new list recently that shows the top 200 career earners in professional hockey.

The list dates back to the 1990-91 season, and considering the rise in player salaries over the last two decades, it isn’t necessary to go back any further.

The top earning player since 1990 is Jaromir Jagar, who has raked in $117,803,666, according to Capgeek. The second player on the list is Chris Pronger, at $108,800,000. The first Michigan connection checks in at No. 3, as Nick Lidstrom’s whopping $100,640,000 career earnings puts him above the likes of Joe Sakic, Paul Kariya and Vincent Lecavalier (the four, five and six spots).

The highest-paid Michigan-born player is, as no surprise, Mike Modano – the longtime Dallas Stars forward earned $77,456,300.

Other notable total earnings:

  • No. 10 – Sergei Fedorov – $81,162,000
  • No. 17 – Marian Hossa – $73,550,000
  • No. 22 – Daniel Alfredsson – $67,880,504
  • No. 24 – Steve Yzerman – $65,872,206
  • No. 36 – Doug Weight – $61,339,265
  • No. 41 – Brendan Shanahan – $60,000,000
  • No. 47 – Pavel Datsyuk – $57,525,000
