Lumberjacks acquire Rochester Hills native Blake Christensen

The Muskegon Lumberjacks made a trade today that brings another Michigan product back to the Mitten.

The USHL club acquired forward Blake Christensen, a native of Rochester Hills, from the Youngstown Phantoms. Muskegon sent affiliate forward James Winkler, their third-round pick in the 2014 USHL Phase One Draft and their sixth-round pick in the Phase Two Draft to acquire Christensen.

The Rochester Hills native is in his second USHL season; last year he played for the U.S. National Development Team, recording three goals and two assists in 29 games played.

Christensen had two goals in 12 games with the Phantoms before the trade.

Before coming to the USHL, Christensen spent two seasons with the Little Caesars Midget Major club, recording 56 points in 52 games.
